Bulb Lasagne Workshop
(or Gift Kit)

What is a bulb lasagne

A bulb lasagne is a Dutch term for layering different sized bulbs on top of each other in a container. The result is a wonderfully dense and successional winter-spring floral display. The largest and latest flowering bulbs go in deepest, moving to the smallest and earliest in the top layer. The shoots from the lower bulbs have no problem growing up and around those layered on top.
Why not join us to create your own bulb lasagne this Mother's Day 9th May 2021?

Mother's Day Workshop

Our workshop includes our hand selected 2021 Bulb and Seedling collection - 4 varieties of high quality show stopping tulips (Menton, Angelique, Cacharel, and Double Orange Princess) sourced from the growers (Broersen Bulbs). Altogether we're going to squeeze in 16 of these delicious tulip bulbs to create the bottom layer of our potted lasagnes. On top of these, we'll place a layer of decadent early cluster daffodils mixed with a proven classic cheery mid flowering daff, to reignite your spirits at the end of a cold drab time of year. Topping off our lasagnes and to provide a spark of life throughout the winter is the mixture of delicate fairy primula and the ever happy faced petite violas which will continue to poke their heads around the bulb leaves all the way through to our latest flowering tulip. A beautiful succession of exquisitely slow floral fireworks!
Also included in the workshop is locally sourced quality bulb and flower potting mix, and a selection of pots that we have chosen to compliment our bulb collection. All pots are sized approx 40cm wide and our bulb collections have been selected for this pots size. You will have the opportunity to choose which pot suits you the best when booking a place in the workshops. Workshop places are limited and so is our stock, so get in quick!

Afterwards, your empty pot will be ready to be refilled at our Summer Collection Container Workshop. Those who have attended our Bulb Lasagne Workshop will have priority when booking places in our Summer Workshop.
